 The launch of high-speed rail silent carriages has been welcomed by many people. In fact, the reason why the public is so concerned about silent carriages is still the problem of noise pollution. In recent years, with the improvement of living standards, people's requirements for the quality of life have become higher and higher, especially as the battles for blue skies, clear water, and pure land have achieved remarkable results, the problem of noise pollution has arisen.

 

Noise can have a serious impact on human physiology. In addition to hearing damage, it can also cause visual damage and even induce heart disease. It can also have a psychological impact, easily making people annoyed, agitated, irritable, and even irrational. However, what kind of noise interferes with other people's "normal" life, work and study? There are often differences due to different people's tolerance. In indoor public places such as high-speed railways, babies and young children may have crying problems when traveling with their parents, and the acceptance of different groups varies greatly. Many factors intersect and become the reason for the debate on the Internet about the issue of silent cars not being silent.

 

Currently, there are 14 national, industry or local standards issued in the field of noise pollution prevention and control in 2022, but none of them have yet addressed the issue of noise control in silent carriages.

 

According to the "China Railway" WeChat public account, since January 20, the railway department has added 35 EMU(Electric multiple unit) trains that provide "silent carriage" services, expanding to 72 EMU trains to better meet the needs of passengers. The need for a better travel life.
