Dr. Andrew Dixon Will Attend CBCGDF’s Side Event at CMS COP14
The Fourteenth Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (COP14) will be hosted in Samarkand from 12-17 February 2024.
As the partner of CMS, China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) will send a delegation to the field, and will organize the side event at the CMS COP14 with the theme “Migratory Species and Biodiversity Conservation in Our Neighborhood” at 12:45-13:30 on February 15, GMT+5.
Dr. Andrew Dixon, Director of Science & Conservation at the Mohamed Bin Zayed Raptor Conservation Fund, is invited to attend the event and give a keynote speech.
The event will be held in Bukhara Room, Silk Road Samarkand Congress Center, Samarkand, Uzbekistan and will be conducted in English. The meeting will showcase successful experiences of public participation in the conservation of migratory species, as well as the challenges faced by migratory species. Guests will also be invited to share their community or organization's solutions for migratory species conservation. In each case, we will discuss the gap between current practice and what is needed to truly ensure the viability of wild populations.
