CCAfa's Impact with 210+ Established Areas by 2024: Empowering Communities, Preserving Biodiversity (A Partial List of Community Conservation Areas)

The Community Conservation Areas (CCAfa) initiative, pioneered and launched by the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) in April 2016, represents a comprehensive system of protected areas. Its primary objective is to mobilize the efforts of local communities in order to address the loss of biodiversity and promote the conservation of the ecological environment. As of February 2024, over 210 CCAfas have been established in various regions across China.
