CBCGDF Legal Working Committee Solicits Clues on Suspected Destruction of Natural Resources
The "Measures for Administrative Punishments on Natural Resources" were released on January 31, 2024, and will come into effect on May 1, 2024.
The Legal Working Committee of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) solicited clues from the public about illegal activities that damage the ecological environment, has received many reports of illegal occupation and destruction of cultivated land and illegal mining of mineral resources. National strategic resources and non-renewable resources, mineral resources and land resources are of great significance to the country's economic and social development. However, illegal activities involving mineral resources and land resources often cause huge ecological damage. In this regard, the CBCGDF Legal Working Committee once again solicited illegal clues from the society:
1.Illegal occupation and destruction of cultivated land, especially those occupying a large area of permanent basic farmland, causing serious damage to planting conditions.
2. Illegal exploration and mining of mineral resources, such as unlicensed exploration and mining of mineral resources, mining beyond the scope of approved mining areas, use of destructive mining methods to mine mineral resources, failure to carry out ecological environment restoration as required after prospecting and mining of mineral resources, etc.
