Promoting "Reducing and Picking up Plastics" in Daxing District, Beijing During the 2024 Lantern Festival | CBCGDF "Peoples vs. Plastics" Project | PP023
In response to the theme of "Planet vs. Plastics" on World Earth Day in 2024, China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) initiated the "People vs. Plastics" project through the Reduce and Pick-up Plastics Working Group. On February 24, the 2024 Lantern Festival, the "Peoples vs. Plastics" Project Team carried out promoting activities in the Biological Medicine Base of Daxing District Volunteers went to the streets in groups to promote the concept of "Reduce and Pick-up Plastics" to taxi drivers, deliverymens, passers-by, etc., calling on everyone to reduce the use of disposable plastic products, eliminate plastic pollution, and actively participate in the campaign of " Peoples vs. Plastics".
Another volunteer group of "Peoples vs. Plastics" Project took action inside the office building to promote the environmental protection concept to everyone and presented "Peoples vs. Plastics" promotional materials.
In this vibrant spring, the "Peoples vs. Plastics" Project will be implemented in various parts of China. We welcome more like-minded philanthropists to join us and use our actions to fight against plastic pollution, reduce energy and resource waste, alleviate environmental pressure, and reduce the amount of plastic waste in China's coastal, river, and sea areas, and reduce marine plastic waste pollution, improve marine ecological environment, conserve marine biodiversity, contribute to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
