2024 No.1 Central Document Study Symposium Will Gather Intellectual Powerhouse & Agricultural Practioners in Tai'an, Shandong Province | CBCGDF-BASE Co-Hosts
The forthcoming academic symposium titled Learning the 2024 Central Document Academic Seminar, gathering of academic elites and practioners in Tai'an of Shandong, marks a significant event to delve into the intricacies of China's annual No.1 Central Document. Traditionally focusing on rural and agricultural issues, the No.1 Central Document has become synonymous with the China's dedication to rural green development. In February 2024, the latest edition of this crucial policy document was released. Recognizing the document's importance, the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation, is joining hands with the Shandong Agricultural Engineering College and the other partners in Daiyue District, Tai'an, to organize a symposium and to study and to share best practices on these important topics.
Scheduled
for February 22, 2024, in Zuyang Town, the "Learning the 2024 Central
Document Academic Seminar" aims to provide an in-depth understanding of
the 2024 Document. Esteemed scholars, experts, farmers and other agricutural
practioners will engage in discussions covering the six major sections of the
document.
The
symposium encompasses various themes, including keynote speeches by Professor
Liu Yusheng from Shandong Agricultural Engineering College, who will present on
the "Village and Garden" integrated model and its implementation
planning. Additionally, Secretary-General Li Sheng from the Urban and Rural
Integration Development Committee of Shandong Provincial Urban Economic Society
will deliver a concise report on refining projects, attracting funds to support
rural revitalization, and accelerating development.
Philosophical
discussions will focus on topics such as ethical considerations in technology,
the empowering role of China's style of modernization in fostering high-quality
agricultural development, and the role of higher education institutions in
agricultural and rural development as outlined in the Central Document.
The
technical discussion section will include case studies, where participants will
explore topics like the introduction of "natural enemies" in
19th-century America, the "Four-in-One" model in animal husbandry,
the role of insect-driven agriculture in revitalizing distinctive industries,
and preliminary designs for zero-pollution village construction.
The
significance of this academic symposium lies in its potential to provide a
comprehensive and nuanced understanding of the No.1 Central Document. Through
in-depth discussions, presentations and exchanges, experts aim to offer a
holistic comprehension of the document's core principles and its guidance for
