CBCGDF Shijiazhuang Volunteer "Environmental Protection Guards" Help Promote the Waste Classification and Successfully Recycle 390 kilograms of Milk Cartons

 Recently, the project department of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) received a work report from volunteers in Shijiazhuang, reporting on their recent work results in waste classification. With the help of the "Little Environmental Protection Guardians", 390 kilograms of milk cartons were collected. After being dismantled, tied and packed, they were packed into 21 large bags. Currently, these 390 kilograms of milk cartons have been transported to a professional milk carton recycling company.

These milk cartons come from three primary schools in Shijiazhuang. They are the result of students, led by volunteers, promoting the recycling of recyclable materials and the "Plastic Reduction and Plastic Pickup" campaign. By sharing waste classification knowledge with primary school students and demonstrating the regeneration process of used milk cartons, volunteers made students realize that used milk cartons are also valuable resources, and encouraged students to actively carry out waste milk carton recycling activities and cultivate them from an early age. Follow the good habit of waste sorting, strive to be a "little environmental protection guardian", and contribute to protecting the environment.

 

The CBCGDF “Reduce and Pick-up Plastics” working group is currently carrying out the “Peoples vs. Plastics”action, calling on volunteers from all over the country to pick up plastic waste in rivers, coasts, farmland, woods, scenic spots and other places, and to educate the public about plastic pollution. Prevention and control knowledge, explaining the harm of "microplastics" to humans and the environment, and enhancing the public's awareness of "plastic reduction".
