Protecting the Mother River and Picking up 57.865 kilograms of Plastic Waste! | CBCGDF "Peoples vs. Plastics" Project | PP024

On the morning of February 27, 2024, the "Peoples vs. Plastics" Project Working Group of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) went to the Yellow River Dam in Zhengzhou to jointly carry out a public welfare activity protecting the Mother River with the local Minghui Construction Group's environmental protection volunteers.

More than 30 volunteers carried out garbage clean-up work in an orderly manner along the Yellow River Dam, picking up a total of 57.865 kilograms of plastic garbage on the river banks, woods and river beaches. The garbage was weighed and classified and detailed records were made. Through this activity we hope to raise public awareness of plastic waste pollution and environmental protection, making a contribution to protecting the ecological security of the Yellow River.
