Biodiversity Conservation in Our Neighborhood(BCON): Human-based Solutions to Address Nature Crisis | CBCGDF Green Room Event Opens on February 27th

The 6th United Nations Environment Assembly is held from February 26 to March 1, 2024, in Nairobi, Kenya. Dr. Zhou Jinfeng,  Secretary General of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), led a delegation from CBCGDF to participate in the conference. The conference's theme is "Effective, inclusive and sustainable multilateral action to address climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution".

On February 27, 2024, 17:00-18:30 local time, CBCGDF hosted a Green Room event on the theme of "Neighborhood Biodiversity Conservation: Human Solutions to Nature's Crisis" at the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) headquarters. CBCGDF invited Mr Du Huixian, International Senior Advisor of CBCGDF, to be the moderator of the event, and Mr Ebrima JARRA, Founder and Executive Director of THE SOIL SOLUTION, and Mr Ambrose Mbuvi, Socio-Economic Consultant of Yunus Environment Hub, to be the keynote speakers. At the same time, Dr. Zhou Jinfeng will introduce to the participants the CBCGDF's human-centred approach to biodiversity conservation through the establishment of CBCGDF Conservation Sites and the launching of various initiatives.

 

The CBCGDF delegation will continue to bring insightful news from the conference.
