Prof. Jorgen Randers Was Interviewed by Ms. Zhu Zitong, the Host of "Talk with World Leaders" of Phoenix Satellite Television

Recently, Professor Jorgen Randers, a world-renowned climate strategist, an honorary professor at the BI Business School in Norway and an international scientist of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), was interviewed by Ms. Zhu Zitong, the host of "Talk with World Leaders" of Phoenix Satellite Television, to share his views on the current situation of climate change and international cooperation paths.

Professor Randers emphasized that in the 21st century, anthropogenic carbon dioxide emissions have surpassed the limit of greenhouse gas absorption ability of Earth, leading to an increase in carbon dioxide concentration and extreme weather. If no changes are made to this, the significant warming in the future will continue for a long time, leaving a tragic and even more uncomfortable world for future generations.

70% of the cumulative global carbon dioxide emissions come from fossil fuels. Therefore, the way out for humanity is to stop using fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and natural gas, and instead embrace clean energy, which will not lead to economic recession or growth stagnation, but rather means transferring labor and capital from traditional energy to new areas of green energy.
