CBCGDF Getting fully Prepared for the 2024 Ocean Decade Conference

The 2024 Ocean Decade Conference, hosted by Spain and co-organized with UNESCO's Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC/UNESCO), will be held in Barcelona International Convention Center in April 10-12, 2024. China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) is actively preparing for and setting up delegation to participate in the conference.

 



Three years after the start of the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021-2030), the 2024 Ocean Decade Conference will bring together the Ocean Decade community and partners to celebrate achievements and set joint priorities for the future of the Decade. It will be part of an entire Ocean Decade Week in Barcelona, and firmly anchored in the precepts of the Ocean Decade related to solutions-oriented, transformative ocean science, and highlight the role of the Decade as a framework to galvanize diverse groups in inclusive and equitable co-design and co-delivery processes.

 

The conference will provide a global forum for governments, leaders, maritime sectors, philanthropy, universities, private sector, NGOs and more, to meet and catalyse new partnerships and collaborations. The full registration has started from January 8, 2024, the participants will be required to submit a request for registration, which will then be subject to approval.
