CBCGDF Deputy Secretary-General Invited to Visit Samarkand International University of Technology in Uzbekistan

In order to promote international scientific and cultural exchanges, the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) was recently invited to visit the Samarkand International University of Technology in Uzbekistan. CBCGDF will send a team led by Ms. XIONG Yutong, Deputy Secretary-General to visit the university during the 14th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS COP14) , which will be held from February 12 to 17, 2024 at the Silk Road Samarkand Conference Center in Uzbekistan .

Ms. Xiong Yutong will lead the CBCGDF delegation to Uzbekistan to participate in the conference and hold a side event with the theme of Migratory Species and Biodiversity Conservation in Our Neighborhood at 12:45-13:30 on February 15, GMT+5. The event will showcase successful experiences of public participation in the conservation of migratory species, as well as the challenges faced by migratory species. Guests will also be invited to share their community or organization's solutions for migratory species conservation. In each case, we will discuss the gap between current practice and what is needed to truly ensure the viability of wild populations.

During the conference, Ms. Xiong Yutong was invited by Professor Mohammed Kaabar of Samarkand International University of Technology to lead a delegation to officially visit Samarkand International University of Technology. The two parties will strengthen cooperation in academic seminars and sustainable development talent leadership platform projects, and sign a memorandum of understanding on cooperation.
