ZHOU Jinfeng Meets with Experts from the American Environmental Law Institute at the CBCGDF Building on Sunday
On the morning of December 10, 2023, Mr. John Pendergrass, Senior Vice President and Senior Advisor for Research and Policy of the Environmental Law Institute (ELI), and Ms. Susannah Marie Dibble, a public interest environmental law researcher, together with their delegation visited the head office of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation(CBCGDF). Dr. ZHOU Jinfeng, Secretary-General and Mr. MA Yong, Deputy Secretary-General of the CBCGDF Together with their colleagues from the International Department, Journal Department, and Project Department warmly received the American guests.
At the meeting, both parties introduced their long-term work in promoting environmental protection, then discussed topics of common interest in the future and issues such as best practices and experiences in biodiversity conservation under the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF), soil health and protection, environmental governance, and the impact of climate change.
Zhou Jinfeng introduced the work and achievements of CBCGDF in protecting biodiversity, promoting green development, participating in environmental rule of law, advocating soil biodiversity protection, and responding to climate change. Both parties shared some successful experiences, problems and insights from their work in the past few years.
