Zhou Jinfeng Made Suggestions on the 19th International Conference on Genomics in 2024 to Strengthen Academic Exchanges between China and Africa

On the evening of December 22, 2023, Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, Secretary-General of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), attended the summary meeting of ICG-18 and the outlook meeting of ICG-19. Dr. Zhou Jinfeng put forward 2 suggestions for the preparation of ICG19 to strengthen further cooperation between Chinese and African academic circles:

First, it is suggested that relevant theme meetings can be co-organized with the Sixth session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-6) series of side events. UNEA-6 will be held at the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya from February 26 to March 1, 2024.

Second, it is recommended that relevant theme meetings be held jointly with the “Global Air Pollution and Health Conference” to be held in Accra, Ghana, Africa. The "Global Air Pollution and Health Conference" will be hosted by the World Health Organization (WHO) from October 28 to November 1, 2024. The conference will gather a large number of experts, key stakeholders, and decision-makers in the fields of health, environment, energy, etc.
