CBCGDF Community Conservation Area for Raptor at Qian’an City (CCAfa 211) Officially Established

China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) established Community Conservation Area for Raptor at Qian’an City Hebei Province, (CCAfa 211).

The Conservation Area will carry out a series of activities such as raptor protection, rescue, research, science popularization and education to protect the habitat of birds of prey, and protect other birds to help the local ecological environment and biodiversity protection.

Huangtai Lake, located on the west side of the city, is a scenic spot with dual functions of ecological flood control and tourism, which is artificially excavated on the Luanhe River Ancient Road.

There are many kinds of birds. Among these birds, there are seven species of wild animals under national priority protection, including the Golden Eagle, Oriental Stork, and Black Stork. There are more than 50 kinds of wild animals under second-class state key protection, mainly including birds of prey.



The establishment of the CCAfa 211 will integrate raptor protection into daily work, strengthen patrol rescue, promote wildlife protection publicity, and convey the importance of raptor and their protection to local communities. In the sensitive season of bird breeding and migration, CCAfa 211 will try to avoid interference with the important habitat of birds, and create a suitable living space for them. This work will undoubtedly make an important contribution to the ecological environment and biodiversity protection of Qian’an City.
