CBCGDF Rescued a Great Bustard after it Hit the Low-voltage Line. How is it Now? | CBCGDF CCAfa

On December 3rd of the cold winter, Mr. Zhang Ximing, a villager from Yangjiazhuang Village, Laoting County, Tangshan City, Hebei Province, accidentally discovered an injured Great Bustard in his backyard.

 

Mr. Zhang Ximing and local police immediately contacted Gu Jiandong, the President of Laoting County Wildlife Conservation Association, who transported the Great Bustard to the Daqing River Rescue Station in Laoting County that night.

 


 

The Daqing River Rescue Station is also the location of the Water Bird Conservation Area of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF). After receiving the injured Great Bustard, the head of the rescue station, Mr. Tian, immediately checked the injury and conducted the treatment.

 

The rescued Great Bustard has recovered in good physical condition. After it fully recovers, the rescue station will release it back to nature in due course.
