ZHOU Jinfeng: Liuba County Should Build a World-renowned Biodiversity Museum | BCON Research Discussion (III)
Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, Secretary-General of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), recently went to Liuba County, Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province to conduct field research and held discussions with local government representatives. The contents of the discussion are summarized as follows:
Dr.
ZHOU Jinfeng mentioned in the symposium that ecosystem diversity explores
different aspects of biodiversity from one dimension, and the other dimension
is the change we have here. We need to clearly express the biodiversity of
Liuba county, understand their quantity and density, as well as the variables
that change with climate and time. We should conduct a biodiversity surveys,
and local young people and students should work together and conduct it for a
long time. In this way, we can provide some scientific data and research
results for biodiversity.
Carrying
out biodiversity conservation not only focuses on protected areas and
endangered species, but also on conservation on our neighborhoods, which can be
used on protecting the Chinese honey bee. Unlike other regions, it has been
prohibited to cultivate the Italian bees in Liuba county. We can establish a
world-renowned biodiversity museum in Liuba, focusing on biodiversity research.
We hope that this museum can arouse people's attention and assume the
historical responsibility of biodiversity conservation and sustainable use of
resources.
