More than 200 Injured Migratory Birds were Released from CBCGDF Community Conservation Area in Tangshan

During the bird migration season, in order to successfully release and rescue the injured birds, recently, Community Conservation Area of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) in Tangshan held a bird release activity. In total, more than 200 birds were released.

It is located atthe center of Bohai Bay
, Leting County, Tangshan City, Hebei Province, with a large number of coastal beaches and wetlands, and is an important "migratory bird site" on the migratory route of EAAFP. Every year, millions of migratory birds pass through Leting County, with more than 300 species of birds.The Luanhekou wetland, located at the junction of Leting County of Tangshan City and Changli County of Qinhuangdao City, is the estuary of the Luanhe River and a fan-shaped tidal flat coastal wetland formed by large rivers along the coast of Bohai Bay. Its unique geographical location and superior ecological environment bring together rich animal and plant resources, making it an important stopping place and wintering place on the migratory route of birds.

According to Tian Zhiwei, director of the Community Conservation Area, with the continuous improvement of the ecological environment of the Luanhekou wetland, the number of birds wintering in the Luanhekou wetland in Leting County is also increasing every year. At present, the rescue station has rescued more than 40 kinds of birds, the number of more than 400.
