In order to actively participate in global environmental governance, on November 16, 2023, China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) held the first preparatory meeting for participating in the sixth session of the United Nations Environment Assembly(UNEA-6).

UNEA-6 will be held from 26 February to 1 March 2024 at the UNEP headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, under the theme: Effective, inclusive and sustainable multilateral actions to tackle climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution. It will be conducted in-person.

CBCGDF will send a delegation to participate in the field and strive to host the side event.

At the preparatory work meeting, the latest documents of the meeting were carefully studied, the key issues of concern to the participants were discussed, and the preliminary scope and opinions were established on the submission of the side event plan.
