CBCGDF Senior Advisor Erik Solheim Commented on the Meeting between China and the United States

On November 16, 2023, Mr. Erik Solheim, the former Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Senior Advisor of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), expressed his great enthusiasm for the news of the meeting between the heads of state of the United States and China, stating that it was the best news of the year!

On November 15, 2023, President Xi Jinping and President Joe Biden met at the Filoli in San Francisco to have a candid and comprehensive discussion on strategic, globality and directional issues concerning China-U.S. relations. They also discussed major issues related to world peace and development.

Mr. Erik Solheim mentioned that China-US relations are crucial to the world. Cooperation between these two countries is essential for solving global problems and effectively responding to challenges like climate change, post-epidemic economic recovery, eradication of poverty, development of artificial intelligence, and promotion of world peace.
