CBCGDF Submitted 7 Suggestions on the "Regulations on Prohibiting and Restricting Non-degradable Single-use Plastic Products in Henan Province (Draft)"

On May 16, 2023, the Ministry of Commerce and the National Development and Reform Commission of China jointly issued the " Measures for the Administration of the Use and Reporting of Single-Use Plastics by Businesses in the Commercial Field ", which came into effect on June 20, 2023. It is known as the "most stringent plastic ban in history".

Actively responding to this call, the Legal Work Committee of the Standing Committee of the Henan Provincial People's Congress took the lead in drafting the " Regulations on Prohibiting and Restricting Non-degradable Single-use Plastic Products in Henan Province (Draft)" and has publicly solicited opinions from the society.

The Legal Working Committee of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) has long committed to relative work such as suggesting to the Ministry of Education to ban plastic book covers, setting up a special team to pick up plastic waste from various places, and submitting "plastic ban and restriction" suggestions to the legislative body, etc. The Legal Working Committee of CBCGDF attaches great importance to this solicitation of opinions and, after careful study, proposed seven suggestions.
