CBCGDF Delegation will Attend the Tenth Session of the Governing Body of ITPGRFA

The tenth session of the Governing Body of the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (ITPGRFA) will be held in Rome, Italy, from 20 to 24 November, 2023. As an observer to ITPGRFA, China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) will send delegation to attend the conference.

 


 The theme of the Session is “From Seeds to Innovative Solutions, Safeguarding Our Future: Contributing to the Implementation of the Global Biodiversity Framework for Sustainable Food Systems.” A major focus of the Session will be the potential of seeds to provide innovative solutions for addressing global challenges such as loss of biodiversity and climate change.

CBCGDF has held a preparatory meeting to study the latest documents of the meeting and discuss the key issues of concern to the participants.

The world’s ocean ecosystems are facing mounting threats—climate change, marine pollution, overfishing, and habitat destruction due to human activities, to name a few. These pressures are particularly dangerous for marine mammals like cetaceans, whose survival hinges on healthy habitats and stable populations.
