The CBCGDF's Standards Working Committee Attended the 2023 China National Computer Congress

The 2023 China National Computer Congress was held from Oct. 26 to 28 in Shenyang, the capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province, with the theme of "Develop Digital Infrastructure and Support China's Digital Construction".

The audience reached 13,000, while more than 36,000 people watched the opening ceremony, invited reports and the forum through live streaming. In order to practice the concept of low-carbon cycle and sustainable development, this congress promotes the concept of green meeting, and strives to minimize resource waste and carbon emissions under the premise of ensuring the participation experience.

The Standards Working Committee of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) was invited to participate in the exhibition.

As a new field, biodiversity and computer technology cross-border integration, became a highlight of the exhibition. In the exhibition hall, the public stopped in front of the exhibition stand of CBCGDF, showing great interest in the work and achievements related to biodiversity protection and green development. Through reading the books on display, they deepened their understanding of ecological and environmental protection work. After hearing the introduction and popularization of science, everyone also got the inspiration and response plan on the practice of biodiversity protection and green development. The public at the exhibition also expressed their willingness to join in this work and contribute to promoting the construction of ecological civilization.

The Standards Working Committee of CBCGDF spread the concept of green meeting during the congress, encouraging changes through actions to reduce carbon footprint, protect biodiversity and achieve climate friendliness. The "Green Meeting Standard" is a reference system to measure the sustainability of conferences and exhibitions and other activities, from the aspects of food, housing, transportation, waste, paperless, biodiversity, energy consumption and other aspects of the green evaluation of the conference, aiming to implement the concept of sustainable development.
