CBCGDF Invasive Alien Species Working Group Encourages Rural Biodiversity Investigation during National Day Holidays
Biodiversity is the vital basis for human survival and social development. Improving biodiversity conservation is important to the construction of ecological civilization and a key point for promoting high-quality development. The China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) actively practices the idea of ecological civilization, and enduring provides guidance and suggestions for biodiversity conservation and ecological civilization practices in various areas. During the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day Holidays, CBCGDF proposed and encouraged all working groups to take the opportunity to observe and analyze the situation of biodiversity during travel.
During the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day Holidays from the end of September to early October 2023, the Invasive Alien Species Working Group of CBCGDF used the time to conduct investigations on invasive alien species in rural areas and advocate responsible travel.
During this investigation, the situation of many invasive alien species including Pomacea canaliculata, Pontederia crassipes, Solidago canadensis L., Phytollaca americana Linn., Procambarus clarkii, etc. has been recorded. By interviewing local residents, we have recorded the impacts of these invasive alien species.
