BASE-CBCGDF Suggests Adding the Word "Provisional" to the "Basic Security Requirements for Generative Artificial Intelligence Services" (Draft for Comments)

The National Information Security Standardization Technical Committee of China recently released the "Basic Security Requirements for Generative Artificial Intelligence Services" (draft for comments). As the first regulatory opinion draft specifically targeting the field of generative AI security in China, it also provides strong support for the "Interim Measures for the Management of Generative Artificial Intelligence Services" launched by China’s seven departments including the Cyberspace Administration in July. The Biology and Science Ethics (BASE) Committee of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) actively responds to the call, organizes serious discussions and research, and puts forward the following 5 suggestions and opinions for scientific decision-making reference. The third recommendation is as follows:

To add ' provisional ' in the title, which is to make the full name of this standard as " Basic Security Requirements for Generative Artificial Intelligence Services (Provisional) “

Reason: The purpose of this document is pointed out in the [4 General Provisions] section: "This document supports the "Interim Measures for the Management of Generative Artificial Intelligence Services". So, since it corresponds to the "Interim Measures", the title of this document should also include words like "provisional" to ensure that it can be easily adjusted and adapted to the ethical issues and new challenges in constantly evolving technological innovation.
