CBCGDF-BCON Co-hosts: The First Forum on Ancient and Famous Trees and Promoting Harmony Development of Rural Area

On October 25 to 28, “The First Forum on Ancient and Famous Trees and Promoting Harmony Development of Rural Area” will be held in Nanjing. The forum is hosted by the Biodiversity Conservation in Our Neighborhood (BCON) working group of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation, in collaboration with the Arboriculture Branch of the Chinese Forestry Society and College of Life Sciences of Nanjing Forestry University. 

The Forum will start at 8 a.m. (UTC +8) on October 26. The agenda of the forum from October 26 to 27 are:

October 26, 2023:

    1. Mr. HU Xianliang, Beijing Ancient Tree Hospital 

       Speech: Protection of Ancient Trees, Promoting Harmony Development of Rural Area.

    2. Prof. XU Xiaogang, Arboriculture Branch of the Chinese Forestry Society

      Speech: Implementation of Ancient Tree Protection and Cultural Inheritance

    3. Dr. XIONG Deping, National Botanical Garden Management Office, 

      Speech: Prevention and Diagnosis of Ancient Tree Diseases and Pests

    4. Mr. DENG Lihui, Guangxi Jinhe Famous Ancient Tree Protection Co., Ltd.

      Speech: Implementation of Related Industry of Ancient Tree Protection

    5. Mr. LIU Yunpeng, Jiangsu Academy of Forestry Sciences 

      Speech: Protection, Rescue, and Recovery Techniques of Ancient Trees


October 27, 2023

    The whole day will be a field investigation on ancient tree vitality restoration.
