26 exhibitions, serving 30,325 visitors! CBCGDF Annual Statistics: A Review of CBCGDF's Modern Science Museum System Work in 2022

Science popularization infrastructure refers to venues with science popularization functions that are open to the public for visitation and learning. As a crucial foundational project for improving the scientific literacy of citizens, it provides tangible support for enhancing the capacity of public science popularization services. Generally, this includes science-related venues, activity centers, activity rooms, science mobile vehicles, science galleries, remote education terminal equipment, and science education bases, among others.

Recently, the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) completed its annual statistical survey for 2022. It involved the modern science museum system and the promotion of public scientific literacy, with the following contents.

As a national first-level academic association, the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) has been supporting the construction of the modern science museum system through its systems such as Community Conservation Areas (CCAfa), Eco-sites, and Green Youth Education Bases. In 2022, the CBCGDF's physical science museum with free admission had an exhibition area of 4,400 square meters and organized a total of 26 exhibitions throughout the year, serving 30,325 visitors.

In the future, the CBCGDF will continue to focus on improving the scientific literacy of the entire population. It actively harnesses the leading role of technological innovation in science popularization and encourages and supports various secondary organizations and special committees to participate in the construction of the science museum system through multiple channels, including the introduction of social resources and mobilizing social forces. Based on the premise of providing the public with higher-quality science popularization resources, the CBCGDF will establish distinctive museum operation models related to biodiversity and green development, enrich exhibition items and presentation forms, continuously enhance content quality, and contribute the strength of the academic society to serve the construction of the modern science museum system and improve the capacity of public science popularization services.
