The edible mushroom industry is the specialty industry in Mudanjiang. In recent years, it has brought economic growth for local people and contributed to agricultural development. However, with the strengthening of the edible mushroom industry, the waste of edible mushroom packages increased at the same time. It causes severe environmental pollution and has been listed in the rectification issue by the Central Environmental Protection Inspectorate. This “Mudanjiang City Regulations on the Prevention, Control, and Comprehensive Utilization of Waste Edible Mushroom Package” (Draft) is aimed to provide a legal basis for regulating and governing related issues.

During the discussion session, the members of CBCGDF Reduce& Pick-up Plastic Working Group actively provided suggestions and ideas based on plastic pollution control, people vs. plastic, and finally sorted and summarized those ideas into four suggestions, in order to provide advice and help local government for scientific decision-making.
