CBCGDF Gears Up for COP28: Strengthening Climate Governance Capabilities

Recently, the Climate Change Working Group of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) took part in the "Workshop on Capacity Building for Chinese Environmental NGOs in the Climate Conference" held in Beijing. This conference, held just before the CBCGDF delegation's departure to the United Arab Emirates, aimed to enhance the team's climate governance capabilities.

The CBCGDF delegation was particularly impressed by two lectures presented during the workshop. The first lecture, titled "The Latest Developments at the United Nations Climate Conference and Key Concerns of Various Parties," was delivered by Chai Qimin, Director of the Strategic Planning Department at the National Climate Strategy Center. The second lecture, titled "Subjects, Structure, and Mechanisms of International Climate Negotiations," was shared by Professor Hou Jiaru from the China University of Political Science and Law.

CBCGDF serves as an observer to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Over the years, CBCGDF has been dedicated to climate governance and the promotion of green development. The upcoming 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) in the United Arab Emirates is an exciting event, and we eagerly anticipate learning, engaging, and meeting colleagues from around the world during this conference.
