Dr. Sara Platto, Secretary General of CBCGDF-BASE, attended the Opening Ceremony of the East Lake Forum 2023

 

On October 20, 2023, "East Lake Forum" was grandly opened in Wuhan, Hubei Province, which lasted from October 20 to 22, for three days. This "East Lake Forum" highlighted the characteristics of "science popularization + science and technology creation", and created a national forum with international influence on the integration and interaction of science popularization and science and technology innovation. Dr. Sara Platto, Secretary-General of the BIOLOGY AND SCIENCE ETHICS (BASE) Committee of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), recipient of the Chinese Government Friendship Award, and Professor of Animal Behavior and Welfare at Jianghan University, participated in the opening ceremony at invitation.




The forum also set up an exhibition in the China Optics Valley Science and Technology Exhibition Center, with an exhibition area of 10,000 square meters, setting up the annual roving exhibition of scientific and technological innovation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the centennial exhibition of scientific life, the "Belt and Road" popular science exhibition, "China Optics Valley", key enterprises, Emergency science, health science and other 15 exhibition areas.
