Dr. Sara Platto, Secretary General of the BASE-CBCGDF, was appointed as one of the Chief Experts of the Expert Consulting Team on BASE

Recently, Dr. Sara Platto, the Secretary General of the BASE - China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), was appointed as one of the Chief Experts of the Biology and Science Ethics (BASE) Consulting Expert Team for a period of three years.


Dr. Sara Platto is an Italian expert in animal behavior, welfare, and veterinary medicine. She is currently an associate professor at the School of Life Sciences at Jianghan University, serving as the Secretary General of the BASE Committee of CBCGDF and the Chief Scientific Advisor of the Wildlife Rescue Group. She has been nominated by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Regional Coordinator, the IUCN Fred Packard Award, and 2020 Chinese Government Friendship Award.
