CBCGDF Submitted 15 suggestions on the "Management Measures for the National Forestry and Grassland Germplasm Resource Bank (Draft for Comments)"

In order to strengthen the construction and management of the National Forestry and Grassland Germplasm Resource Bank, the State-owned Forest Farm and Seedling Management Department of the State Forestry and Grassland Administration has drafted the "Management Measures for the National Forestry and Grassland Germplasm Resource Bank (Draft for Comments)"and has publicly solicited comments from the society.


Forest and grass germplasm resources are important national strategic resources and carriers of genetic diversity. The establishment of a national forest and grass germplasm resource bank can effectively preserve excellent forest and grass germplasm resources.

The Legal Working Committee of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) attaches great importance to this. While calling on the society to actively participate in the revision proposals of the Draft, it has put forward 15 suggestions for revision after careful research, including suggestions on Chapter 1 general principles, Chapter 2 organization and management, Chapter 3 establishment procedures, Chapter 4 operation and management, and Chapter 5 assessment and evaluation.
