The National Information Security Standardization Technical Committee of China recently released the "Basic Security Requirements for Generative Artificial Intelligence Services" (draft for comments).   On October 27, 2023, the CBCGDF OceanWetlands Working Group received a call from the Jiangsu Provincial authorities expressing their appreciation for the active inputs to the CBCGDF OceanWetlands Working Group on the " Jiangsu Coastal Zone and Marine Spatial Plan (2021-2035) " ( Draft for Comments ), and analyzed in detail each of the recommendations in comparison with the current version of the Plan and its possible future improvements, and indicated that ALL the 7 recommendations submitted by the CBCGDF OceanWetlands Working Group would be incorporated into the text of the Plan . CBCGDF International Department Held a Preparatory Meeting for the ICG 18-2

  On October 24, 2023, the CBCGDF International Department held a preparatory meeting for the second phase of ICG 18 with Professor Fred Dubee, academician of the World Academy of Art and Science and BGI Advisory Committee.   This meeting mainly discussed the agenda of “World Soil Day” related activities expected to be carried out on December 5, 2023. At the beginning of the meeting, CBCGDF Secretary-General Dr. Zhou Jinfeng and Professor Fred Dubee exchanged views on China's achievements and world development trends in the fields of climate change, scientific and technological progress and unified health, and ecological agriculture. On October 24, 2023, the 6th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China voted to adopt the newly revised Marine Environment Protection Law, which will come into effect on January 1, 2024. The Legal Working Committee of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) attached great importance to the revision of the Marine Environment Protection Law and actively participated in the solicitation stages of the revised draft and the second review draft.  On October 26, “The First Forum on Ancient and Famous Trees and Promoting Harmony Development of Rural Area” was held in Nanjing. China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), Biodiversity Conservation in Our Neighborhood (BCON) working group co-hosted the Forum with the Arboriculture Branch of the Chinese Forestry Society and College of Life Sciences of Nanjing Forestry University.   The Department of Ecology and Environment of Anhui Province has recently issued a notice of public consultation on the Action Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change in Anhui Province , openly soliciting opinions and suggestions from all walks of life.
