On October 24, 2023, the 6th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China voted to adopt the newly revised Marine Environment Protection Law, which will come into effect on January 1, 2024. The Legal Working Committee of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) attached great importance to the revision of the Marine Environment Protection Law and actively participated in the solicitation stages of the revised draft and the second review draft.  On October 26, “The First Forum on Ancient and Famous Trees and Promoting Harmony Development of Rural Area” was held in Nanjing.
