The State Tobacco Monopoly Administration Replied to the Application for Information Disclosure by CBCGDF

Recently, the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) received a "Reply to Government Information Disclosure Application" (hereinafter referred to as the "Reply") from the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration.

The Reply said that the public disclosure of "2022 National Tobacco Planting Area", "2022 National Tobacco Production", "2022 National Cigarette Production", "2022 National Cigarette Sales Volume" and other contents requested by CBCGDF requires processing and analysis of existing government information. According to Article 38 of the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Government Information Disclosure, the information above would not be provided. The "2022 Total Production Plan of National Tobacco Production Enterprises" involved classified state information and would not be disclosed. The "Implementation Opinions on Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality in the Tobacco Industry" would be provided as attached.

The Tobacco Control Working Group of CBCGDF will continue the following work.
