Ms. Yingjia Xiao will be part of CBCGDF delegation to attend the 62nd meeting of the Standing Committee of Ramsar Convention on Wetlands in Gland, Switzerland this September!

 

The 62nd meeting of the Standing Committee of Ramsar Convention on Wetlands (SC62) will take place at Secretariat headquarters in Gland, Switzerland, from 4 to 8 September, 2023. As an observer to Ramsar Convention on Wetlands, China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) is now in full preparation for the on-site participation in the meeting in Gland by forming a high-quality delegation.

 

Ms. Yingjia Xiao, will be part of CBCGDF delegation for this meeting to help telling good story of China to the international community in person in Switzerland. Previously, she had participated in the Ramsar COP14 in November 2022 held at Geneva as one of CBCGDF youth representatives, and chaired the 2 side events held by CBCGDF, & delivered wonderful speeches as a keynote speaker.

 


In order to help China deeply engaged in global environmental governance and give full play to the creativity of young people, CBCGDF has long been committed to cultivating the outstanding young to participate in global technological governance and global environmental governance, so that young people full of passion have the opportunity to stand on the global stage to tell good stories about China.

 

In recent years, CBCGDF has provided opportunities for many excellent volunteers and interns to participate in important policy revisions, international projects, conferences organizing, as a host or a keynote speaker to make themselves better heard; and to help them publish articles in academic journals, as well as recommend outstanding students to pursue further studies in world-renowned institutions. And Ms. Yingjia Xiao is just one of them.

 

This meeting is said to be paperless, so no paper copies will be provided for distribution during the meeting.
