The Delegation of CBCGDF Has Participated in the Stakeholder Day of IPBES 10
The China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) is an observer of IPBES and has long been committed to the actions of ecological environment and biodiversity protection. The Delegation of CBCGDF Has Participated in the Stakeholder Day of IPBES 10 on August 27, 2023.
The Stakeholder Day brought together scientists, members of Indigenous and local communities, and representatives of civil society organizations to exchange views regarding the issues on the agenda of the 10th Session of the IPBES Plenary. Among others, they reflected on the thematic assessment of Invasive Alien Species (IAS), which is set to be launched at the session.
Stakeholder Day was organized by and for stakeholders, on the day prior to the IPBES Plenary session as an opportunity for all interested individuals and organizations to get the latest information about IPBES and its work, informally discussed specific aspects of the Plenary session’s agenda and shared experience of their engagement in IPBES with other stakeholders.
After the panel sessions, the self-organized stakeholder networks ONet and IIFBES organized breakout groups to finalize the stakeholder opening statements to be delivered during Plenary.
