National Ecological Day: Practicing the "Two Mountains" Theory and Discussing the Establishment of the "CBCGDF Ecological Environment Special Fund"

August 15, 2023 is the first National Ecological Day of China. On this day to celebrate, Mr. ZHANG Yifan, Secretary General of the National Land Science Research Center of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Mr. LIU Jing, editor-in-chief of China.com Ecology China, visited the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), and discussed with Dr. ZHOU Jinfeng, Secretary General of CBCGDF, on the proposed "CBCGDF Ecological Environment Special Fund".

Mr. ZHANG Yifan said that the application for the establishment of "CBCGDF Ecological Environment Special Fund" aims to practice the "Two Mountains" theory, to encourage the development concept of "innovation, coordination, green development, openness, and sharing", and to further promote the achievements of green development.

Dr. ZHOU Jinfeng recognized the concept of establishing this Special Fund and said that practicing the "two mountains" theory and achieving the "dual carbon" goals will play a key role in promoting biodiversity conservation and green development.

Mr. LIU Jing said that it is of great significance to discuss the establishment of the Fund on China's first National Ecological Day. He expects that after the establishment of the special fund, relevant work will be better carried out aligning with the theme of " lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets ".
