CBCGDF Invites Experts and Scholars to Join Its Delegation for the UNEP Global Intergovernmental Meeting on Minerals and Metals
Minerals and metals are the basis of many industries, such as construction, electronics, transportation and energy. Therefore, the management of minerals and metals is of great importance. With the growth of global population, the demand for minerals and metals is also increasing. Therefore, the environmental sustainability of minerals and metals in their life cycle has received wide concern.
China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) has been invited to attend the Global Intergovernmental Meeting on Minerals and Metals of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) to be held on 7th and 8th September 2023 in Geneva, which will highlight the key findings of the regional consultations and provide an opportunity to gather additional feedback to potentially inform a co-chairs’ summary of outcomes.
Prior to this, the co-chairs will also organize a “Briefing on the Global Intergovernmental Meeting on Minerals and Metals”, taking place at the International Environment House II, and online, on 23 August, 2023.
CBCGDF will set up a delegation to attend the meeting. Therefore, scholars and experts are welcome to join the delegation to better participate in the governance of mineral and metal issues on the international stage. The deadline for application is August 28th, 2023. Applicants are required to provide information about the name, position and a recent digital photo of passport size as well as suggestions and relevant working experiences on minerals and metals.
