2023 World Elephant Day Dialogue —— Elephantine Challenge: Converging Conservation and Development

 August 12, 2023 is the 12th World Elephant Day, which aims to draw attention to the urgent plight of African and Asian elephants.

The Elephant Working Group of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) will hold a dialogue on World Elephant Day on August 11, 2023. We welcome all experts who are passionate about elephant conservation to join us and share your work on elephant conservation. The theme of this dialogue is: Elephantine Challenge: Converging Conservation and Development.

The dialogue will be divided into opening remarks, round-table discussions, and keynote speeches It presents a unique platform for experts to share their triumphs and advancements in the realm of elephant conservation. The symposium is poised to delve into the symbiotic relationship between preservation and progress, highlighting the interplay between ecological harmony and sustainable growth. The chosen theme is both astute and timely, underscoring that elephant conservation isn't merely about protecting a species; it's about upholding the stability of entire ecosystems.

The world’s ocean ecosystems are facing mounting threats—climate change, marine pollution, overfishing, and habitat destruction due to human activities, to name a few. These pressures are particularly dangerous for marine mammals like cetaceans, whose survival hinges on healthy habitats and stable populations.
