Dr. Edoardo Monaco Confirms Attendance at the ICCOP 2023 During the CIFTIS 2023 in September

Recently, Dr. Eduardo Monaco, Associate Professor and Programme Director of Globalisation and Development at the Joint International School of Beijing Normal University - Hong Kong Baptist University, accepted an invitation from China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) to attend the 2023 International Climate Conference of People (# ICCOP 2023) and deliver a keynote speech.

During his doctorate, in 2011, Dr. Monaco conducted coursework and research in Environmental Economics and Social Development in Pakistan at Harvard University, USA, where he returned for the Leading Economic Growth programme organized by Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government and Center for International Development, in 2014. In the same year he participated in the Land Governance for Development graduate programme at Utrecht University's Faculty of Geosciences, in the Netherlands. In 2016 and 2017 respectively, Dr. Monaco joined the Innovation for Economic Development as well as the Climate Change and Energy Policy programmes at Harvard University's Kennedy School, from which he eventually obtained an Executive Certificate in Economic Development. 

He was awarded a bursary from the University of Cambridge (UK) to complete a research-based sustainable value chains programme at the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL), between July 2018 and April 2019. In 2021, he further trained in Mapping, Spatial Data and GIS at the University of Oxford.

From January 2020 he has served as an assessor in multiple presentations of the Business Sustainability Management (BSM) Programme organised by the University of Cambridge's CISL in collaboration with the digital education platform GetSmarter. From February 2023 he has been providing research support to the UN Micronesia Multi-Country Office (MCO) on the United Nations Common Country Analyses (CCA) for the North Pacific Small Island States.

The 2023 China International Fair for Trade in Services will be held in Beijing from September 2nd to 6th. CBCGDF will hold the 2023 International Climate Conference of People (# ICCOP 2023) with the theme of "Dual Carbon Goals and Environmental Services" on September 3. The purpose of this meeting is to build a cooperation and exchange platform for global environmental service enterprises, carry out deep industry integration, and jointly create the future. This meeting will implement the "Green Conference Standards" (T/CGDF 00027-2021) developed by CBCGDF and invite distinguished guests from all over the world, representatives of international organizations, ambassadors to China, renowned experts and scholars, youth and business representatives to participate. Academic presentations and exchanges will be conducted around topics such as dual carbon goals, ESG, and environmental services.
