CBCGDF International Coordinator Yanjun Xu Joins the IUCN YAC

In April 2024, Ms. Yanjun Xu, the International Coordinator for the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), joined the IUCN Youth Advisory Committee (YAC).

Focusing on biodiversity conservation, she leads the launch of the “CBCGDF Biodiversity Science Popularization Mini-lecture,” which provides a channel for the public to participate in global environmental governance, effectively improving the public’s understanding of biodiversity conservation and environmental protection-related knowledge.

Yanjun Xu is one of 17 inaugural members of the IUCN Youth Advisory Committee (YAC). The first of its kind, the YAC was launched in April 2024 to support the implementation of the IUCN Youth Strategy across the Union. The YAC is comprised of youth from across the globe, each bringing their own diverse experiences to support meaningful youth engagement in IUCN’s policies, processes and programmes.

On the eve of International Women ’ s Day, Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, Secretary-General of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), was invited to meet with   Ms.   María Fernanda Espinosa Garcés, President of the 73rd United Nations General Assembly , for an informal dialogue .
