CBCGDF Delegation Ready to Attend the INC-5 Plastic Treaty Negotiations in Busan, South Korea on November 24, 2024

The fifth session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee to develop an international legally binding instrument on plastic pollution, including in the marine environment (INC-5), is scheduled to take place from 25 November to 1 December 2024 at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center in Busan, Republic of Korea.

The global governance of marine plastic pollution is in the "negotiation-driven governance model" of accelerating negotiations to issue a plastic treaty to address plastic pollution. Global forces including sovereign states, intergovernmental international organizations, non-governmental organizations, and enterprises are actively participating in it and striving to play an important role. China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) has organized delegations to attend the INC-1, INC-2, INC-3 and INC-4 series of meetings that have been held in Paris, France and Nairobi, Kenya, submit proposals and actively make suggestions, and actively play the role of Chinese social organizations in the signing of the global marine plastic pollution governance treaty.

The CBCGDF delegation will consist of five people and will arrive in Busan, South Korea on November 24, 2024. At that time, it will actively disseminate relevant conference information and treaty negotiation progress through CBCGDF media.
