2024 FOCAC Summit to be Held in Beijing

The 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) will be held from September 4 to 6, the world is once again reminded of the deep and enduring ties between China and Africa. The Summit emphasized FOCAC’s role for South-South Cooperation, contributing to substantial development & shared prosperity.


Strengthening biodiversity conservation and promoting harmonious coexistence between man and nature has become an important part of international exchanges and dialogues. Biodiversity conservation is becoming a new dimension of China-Africa cooperation. In recent years, China and Africa have established an environmental cooperation center to promote environmental technology cooperation, share opportunities for green development, and carry out extensive cooperation and exchanges in biodiversity and ecosystem services, climate change and biosecurity. It is a critical time to advance global environmental governance. Strengthening China-Africa cooperation in the emerging field of biodiversity conservation will not only enrich the connotation of a China-Africa community with a shared future, but also contribute to global environmental governance.
