Lv Tongyu: We Are Doing the Same Work As Our Predecessors | Jointly Building Ecological Security Barriers and Green Development

 On August 27, the "Academic Conference on Building Ecological Security Barrier and Green Development & The Green Link International Cooperation Fund Establishment Conference" co-hosted by the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) and the Alliance of International Science Organizations (ANSO) was held at the INSTITUTE OF GEOGRAPHIC SCIENCES AND NATURAL RESOURCES RESEARCH. Liu Shu, Honorary Chairman of CBCGDF, sent a congratulatory letter to the conference.

 


Lü Zhengcao's son, Lü Tongyu, serves as the director of the Management Committee of The Green Link International Cooperation Fund. Lv Tongyu said: "I am 82 years old this year. I have worked in China's aerospace system for a long time. After retirement, I have been engaged in research on the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. We are doing the same work as our predecessors, which is also the main feature of biodiversity conservation and green development: a relay race for humans to protect the earth's resources."

 

The origin of the Green Link International Cooperation Fund is inseparable from the six-year scientific research and practice exploration of Chinese and Mongolian scientists on the Mongolian Plateau. Global climate change and ecological degradation have become challenges we all face. As neighboring countries, China and Mongolia are both located in the heart of Asia, and their ecological environments are closely linked. Frequent natural disasters such as sandstorms have had a serious impact on the production and life of the people of the two countries. It is particularly urgent to strengthen China-Mongolia cooperation to jointly respond to sandstorm disasters. The China-Mongolia sand prevention and green development typical demonstration ecological technology public welfare project of "blocking sandstorms, planting green together, and protecting our homeland together" was born.
