Witness the Highlight Moment! CBCGDF Hosts the 3rd National College Students' Low-Carbon Circular Science and Technology Innovation Competition in Hangzhou

On September 7, 2024the final of the 3rd National College Students' Low-Carbon Circular Science and Technology Innovation Competition was held in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. The event was hosted by the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), and co-organized by the College of Energy Engineering, Zhejiang University, the College of Environmental and Resource Engineering, Zhejiang University of Science and Technology, the Center for Environment and Energy Policy, Zhejiang University, the Zhejiang Association of Circular Economy, the Zhejiang Association of Science and Technology for Resources and Environment Consortium, and the Green Zhejiang. Dr. ZHOU Jinfeng, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of CBCGDF, attended the event and delivered a speech.

 


The issue of plastic pollution has attracted widespread attention from around the world. The Low Carbon Circular Competition is held annually, and this year is the third consecutive year. The Low Carbon Circular Competition has established a competition committee, which includes an organizing committee and an expert committee. The secretariat is located at Zhejiang University of Science and Technology. College students participate in the competition by applying for four types of works: experimental research, research reports, product design and application of results, or industrial tracks. The competition committee invites experts to evaluate outstanding works with high academic theoretical level, practical application value and innovative significance.

 


A total of 199 teams from 27 provinces successfully advanced to the finals of this competition. After the preliminary preparations from September 1 to 6, including the submission of the work book and work display video, the draw for the order of the final defense, the submission of the final presentation PPT, and the pre-final defense test, the final defense was officially held on September 7.

 

After the final of the competition, the organizing committee will also organize various forms of academic exchange activities to strengthen the promotion of the national strategy of carbon peak and carbon neutrality.
