What Types of Artificial Nests Have You Observed for Oriental White Storks? | State Grid Jilin’s “Migratory Bird Lifeline” 2024 Specialized Training
On May 15, the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) organized the first meeting of the annual Jilin-specific training for the "State Grid Project - Bird Protecting and Bird Friendly Action - Bird Migration Lifeline" project. Participants included members of the CBCGDF project team and staff from State Grid Baicheng Power Supply Company, State Grid Songyuan Power Supply Company and State Grid Jilin UHV Company.

The meeting mainly focused on "Artificial Bird Nest - Take Oriental White Stork as an Example" and "Bird Monitoring and Identification". In the first section, the basic situation of the Oriental White Stork and the importance of the construction of artificial nests were introduced. Then the meeting explained how to carry out bird monitoring and identification and how to utilize the relevant data. Through examples and professional guidance, the meeting aimed to raise awareness among the participants about nature protection and biodiversity conservation.
