Dr. Gunter Pauli Invited to Deliver a Speech at the CBCGDF’s Side Event of the 4th International Conference on Small Island Developing States (SIDS4)

The 4th International Conference on Small Island Developing States (SIDS4) will be held in Antigua and Barbuda from May 27th to 30th, 2024. China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) will hold a side event titled "Marine Biodiversity and Sustainable Development of Small Island" at 15:00-18:00 (Beijing time) on May 28th. Dr. Gunter Pauli will attend the side event and deliver a speech titled: “The Metro of The Sea & sustainable development of local economies.



Dr. Gunter Pauli is an entrepreneur and economist who has written over 20 books that are translated into over 30 languages and distributed over 17 million copies worldwide, including the famous ‘The Blue Economy’. His entrepreneurial activities span across culture, science, politics, business, and the environment. He is also a member of the Club of Rome.

 


Dr. Gunter Pauli is the co-founder of Porrima, an experimental ship that operates entirely on renewable energy sources - solar, wind, and hydrogen - and is currently sailing around the world. This epoch-making journey across five continents is part of TEAM EXPO 2025's collaborative challenge creation which aims to accelerate the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
