CBCGDF Plastic Reduce& Pick-up Action Along the Yellow River Basin

 Xihua University students in Chengdu participated in and carried out a plastic reduction initiative with the theme of "Creating a Green Community, Sharing the Beauty of Ecology".

Twenty-three college students participated in the activity, of which 82.6% were female, and the volunteers were 18-21 years old. Around 26.8kg of waste were picked, mainly from daily necessities (47.9%) and plastic wastes from household appliances (37.3%).

 

Food waste plastics were the largest proportion, accounting for 72.9%. Waste brands included Nongfusanquan, Wahaha, etc., of which GREE waste accounted for the largest proportion, 87.9%.

 

The activity was reported on the website of Xihua University, which triggered the enthusiasm of teachers, students and the public for environmental protection work. CBCGDF thanks to the students who participated in the activity.
