Thriving Through Sustainability: Successful Development Strategies in SIDS | Sara Platto to Deliver a Speech at CBCGDF SIDS4 Side Event

The 4th International Conference on Small Island Developing States (SIDS4) will be held in Antigua and Barbuda from May 27th to 30th, 2024. China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) will hold a side event titled "Marine Biodiversity and Sustainable Development of Small Island" at 15:00-18:00 (Beijing time) on May 28th.

 




Dr. Sara Platto has confirmed to attend the SIDS4 and deliver a speech titled: “Thriving Through Sustainability: Successful Development Strategies in SIDS”.

 


Dr. Sara Platto is an Italian expert in animal behavior, welfare and veterinary medicine. She is currently an associate professor at the School of Life Sciences at Jianghan University. She serves as Secretary-General of CBCGDF’s Biology and Science Ethics (BASE) Working Committee and the chief scientific advisor of the Wildlife Rescue Group. She has been nominated for the Regional Coordinator of UNEP, the "Fred Packard Award" of IUCN, and won the 2020 Chinese Government’s Friendship Award.
