CBCGDF BASE Working Group Recommendations on Guangdong Province Science and Technology Innovation Regulations

 Guangdong Province recently issued a notice to solicit opinions from the publics on the "Guangdong Province Science and Technology Innovation Regulations (Revised Draft)" to promote the democratization and openness of local legislation. The China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) B Biodiversity and Scientific Ethics Committee Working Committee (BASE) actively responded to the call, organized discussions, and actively served scientific decision-making. After careful study, a total of 11 opinions and suggestions were put forward.

 


Specific recommendations include but are not limited to: promoting a culture of scientific curiosity, protecting the time of basic researchers, encouraging international cooperation in basic research, cultivating some internationally renowned scientific and technological innovation competitions for teenagers and college students, encouraging the use of new research methods and technology, promoting the use of open science practices, etc.
